SR-9009 (Stenabolic) is a synthetic Rev-Erbα agonist developed by Professor Thomas Burris at the Scripps Research Institute. It modulates the activity of Rev-Erbα, a nuclear receptor that plays a critical role in regulating circadian rhythm, lipid and glucose metabolism, and inflammatory responses. Preclinical research has demonstrated that SR-9009 can significantly alter the expression of genes involved in lipogenesis, cholesterol and bile acid synthesis, and mitochondrial biogenesis.
